AUGUSTA — Senator Justin Chenette, who represents Limington in the Legislature, welcomed Lauren Pride of Limington to be an honorary page at the State House in Augusta. Lauren is a middle-schooler and was at the state house as part of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H Program. She has won numerous awards like one most recently at the Fryeburg Fair for her Grand Champion 4-H Beef Steer and will be off to Ohio for further 4-H adventures very soon. “Getting to interact with our next generation of leaders is one of my favorite parts of being in the Legislature,” said Sen. Chenette. “It was great to have Lauren as a guest today for her to see the legislative process up close.”
Honorary pages help deliver messages, distribute documents within the Senate Chamber, and interact with the senators. All students are welcome to participate. For more information or to schedule a visit, contact Sen. Chenette by phone at (207) 287-1515, email him directly at [email protected], or message him at Facebook.com/JustinChenette.
