AUGUSTA— Rep. Justin Chenette is spearheading legislation to permit trained, non-medical school personnel to administer U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved seizure rescue medications to children who suffer from epilepsy.
“This will prevent the unnecessary deaths of children with epilepsy,” said Chenette, D-Saco. “Why are we allowing children to suffer when there is a FDA-approved, doctor-prescribed medication much like an epi-pen?”

SACO, MAINE – State Legislators, Sen. Linda Valentino and Rep. Justin Chenette, representing Saco, Old Orchard Beach and surrounding communities, will host a forum aimed at educating the public about getting money out of politics. Joining the legislators will be Andrew Bossie, Executive Director of Maine Citizens for Clean Elections Action to talk about the upcoming referendum. MCCE Action is a 501(c)4 nonpartisan organization that works in the public interest to advocate for, increase public support for, defend and improve the Maine Clean Election Act and related campaign finance law. Legislation would automatically register eligible voters based on drivers’ license information AUGUSTA— Rep. Justin Chenette is leading the charge on legislation to automatically register all eligible Maine residents to vote when they apply for or renew a driver’s license or state-issued ID.
“Together we can make voter registration more convenient, more secure and more cost-effective by reducing the amount of paperwork filed with multiple agencies,” said Chenette, D-Saco. |
