It's been quite a year! Served my first session in the Maine House as it's youngest official. Formed the Youth Caucus with my colleagues to bridge the political divide with legislators under 30. Became the state director of the Young Elected Officials Network. Received my B.S. degree from Lyndon State College. Named one of the most influential young LGBT Americans in the country on The Advocate magazine's list of Forty under 40 as the youngest openly gay legislator. Passed into law my bill to allow teachers to grade community service as a graduation standard and my bill to make highway speeds safer by using engineering science vs. political science; even went live on WCSH 6 to clarify details of my proposal. Spoke at HOBY Maine, Young Democrats of America Northeast Conference, Maine Youth Action Network Conference, and was flown out to Ohio to speak with Maumee Valley Country Day School about youth involvement. Wrapped up the Saco Bikes for Kids project donating 25 bikes and equipment to the Saco Parks & Recreation Department. Helped kick off the first Unite Against Bullying ME Walk, Run or Roll event to help raise awareness for bullying. An independent feature film I had a small acting role in, How to Make Movies at Home, premiered in Maine. Featured in a Honda commercial about the Drive-In campaign and ultimately after 10 months of work helped save the Saco Drive-In Theaterwith owner Ry and Camille. Became a notary public. Started my first business Chenette Media LLC. Just to name a few things. Onward to 2014! Happy New Year!!!!
