SACO - Former Senator Justin Chenette has won the Primary Election for the District 3 York County Commission seat, to represent the communities of Saco, Old Orchard Beach, Hollis, and Buxton.
Chenette received approx. 83% of the vote, 1,869 votes to his opponent’s 365 votes, winning each municipality in the district. “Voters sent a clear message that they expect a more transparent, accessible, and accountable county government,” said Chenette. “Together we will bring a more positive era of community-focused leadership to the county commission. I really appreciate voters continued trust in me.” With no Republican or Independent opposition in the Fall, Chenette is set to take office in January after the General Election Tuesday November 8th.
