Chenette honors Thornton Academy Valedictorian with Legislative Sentiment

AUGUSTA — Sen. Justin Chenette, D-Saco, presented Thornton Academy Valedictorian Annabel Winterberg with a legislative sentiment at the their senior graduation assembly Thursday morning.
 
“We have a remarkable young woman among you who is so much more than a test score and great grades, which also she has,” said Chenette. “Your Valedictorian is someone who has participated in Debate Team, Model United Nations, National Honor Society, Women and Gender Equal Rights Club, German Club, and the German Exchange.”

Annabel also volunteers her free time at Evergreen Nursing Home in Saco and plans on studying History at Bowdoin College.
 
Sen. Chenette is an alum of Thornton Academy, having graduated in 2009.
